• get rid of rough shelving, pegboard wall sections, & miscellaneous 'stuff' on main floor
• demolish remaining dressing rooms on main floor and mezzanine
• remove a roomful of wood shelving and other 'good' saved items from basement
• remove carpet from mezzanine
• develop our preliminary ideas and sketches into real plans
The main floor as we found it ~

The second floor had falling plaster and dripping wallpaper in every room

But there were some neat finds, too, like this Penneys' shelving ~
and this door latch set which was probably installed when the building was new ~

That's some fun stuff -- good finds. You've been busy!
The door latch is awesome - was it the only centennial latch in the building? Can’t wait to see what the January to-do list will look like. A definite bookmark for me.
The Centennial latch was just discovered last week because it was on the inside of the upstairs restroom, a room which has no fixtures and no light, electric or otherwise. Who's going to go into a room like that and shut the door?
I was doing an inventory of the door hardware in preparation for deciding what pieces to reuse. This is definitely ON the list!
Yes, it's the only one.

Very nice door latch! I'm very excited about this whole project!
